KEVIN HITS THE GROUND RUNNING

Kevin is a paralegal with a passion for law with a special emphasis on Human Rights and Employment Law representing both employees and employers. His experience and areas of practice also include Small Claims Court, and the Landlord and Tenant Board.


In 2014, Kevin had the distinction of being the first paralegal student to participate in the Community Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP) at Osgoode Hall Law School where he assisted in the carriage of numerous administrative law (Human Rights Tribunal, Social Benefits Tribunal) and Small Claims Court files, in addition to various immigration and criminal law matters.

 

Kevin brings to the table excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as extensive experience in conflict resolution, negotiations and mediation.

In addition to providing legal services, Kevin offers workplace investigations as well as public legal education workshops and seminars in the areas of human rights and employment law in not-for-profit and private industry.

 

Kevin is a popular contributor of numerous legal articles to noted industry publications such as Canadian Lawyer Magazine, and First Reference, the award-winning blog on Payroll and Employment law. 

 

Kevin’s public advocacy work has garnered much attention from the media including numerous appearances on Breakfast Television, and coverage in the Toronto Star, the Villager and 97.3 FM.

 

Noteworthy is Kevin's blog article,  "Pregnancy, short-term contracts and the Code" made the top 10 list of First Reference Talks most read posts in 2015.
